Rosi Beech
The vastness of his heart
I am stunned by his oratory skill:
verbal curare for the unaware.
It paralyses me. I cannot stand
while he delivers blows worthy of a
conquistador. Such uncompromising
clarity. Such brutal fire. In-your-face,
in my face, attitude that irons me raw.
He keeps it coming. Keep me coming. More.
How does he pull frozen tears from my throat
and make me fluent in his company?
How can he know that in a darkened room
his gentleness has power to shock me still?
He holds the sacred when I break apart.
Our vision, in the vastness of his heart.
