Mirror
Mirror sea today.
The Scillonian has gone
to far horizons.
Wind and clouds follow.
The boat goes grinning forward.
The twins are waiting.
Winds roar and seas race.
Now the storm comes apace.
Boat smiles safe at shore.
Stepping on new land,
I rush towards a new me:
wilder, freer, true.
My truth spreads outward,
From the deep central heart of self;
I grasp my destiny
and turn fast towards
the red house waiting for me
on this quiet shore.
