Words and Spaces
I love watching pens
move across the clean paper,
spilling out ideas.
Criss-crossed pages turn.
Put the kettle on to boil,
when ideas sag.
Ah! A cup of tea
she thought. What better to fill
the hole in my thoughts.
the bitter sweetness
of excavating my holes,
the spaces in me.
Spaces between words
and thoughts hold the void
of my creation.
