The Lost Words
traverses the unwrinkled surface of the paper
— a boat's motor in its own sea
its clamour frightens wild schools
of words that impetuously break away
toward bottom and vanish
leaving behind clouds of ink
darkening their flight
like wily cuttlefish
that vanish forever
from the inarticulate fisherman's neglect
