Sea of Release
I don't see the summer leaves,
All I see are grey creaky trees,
The plane trails coming and going from nowhere.
I cannot see the sun even though I stare,
Where and why?,
It’s in the day but seems like a night sky.
Unusual sounds fill my mind,
And then I find,
I am nowhere.
Surrounded but alone,
In a world of stone,
A world unknown,
Staring at the world below.
I shout from the top of my voice but no one hears,
Apart from a person I once knew,
Not me,
Not you.
But his features are mine,
I used to talk to thee,
But for now you have gone,
And I don't feel like me.
Who knows,
suppose,
we shall see....
Life has many faces,
This one is white,
Gaunt and stark,
But most of all it's lost its spark.
Scared and alone,
These twin emotions appear,
Two emotions feared.
For when they come,
They are never scared or alone,
Or on their own.
But together with full force,
My eyes are so heavy,
Raging seas behind each,
Trying to break free to drown my heart,
With their sea of release.
Release from what?,
I am nowhere,
how more free can you be?.
So I will keep on praying that my light will come
back,
As I don't want to be free,
My soul needs its mate
And her me.
To fill our voids with color,
And life for you and me,
To de-creak the trees,
And give the sun back its day,
This is all I will pray and pray and pray.
And never will I say,
That to hold you again there is no way
