Wasted Life

No sense of time just how long to the next fix,
Not in minutes or hours but just how long to turn a trick,
Drugs, sex, money or food you are self defecating your soul,
Why have you stooped so low like a dog chasing its bowl?
Begging and stealing, lying and not trying,
Your everyday routine of crying and nearly dying,
Your life is flying by; it will be gone in a blink of an eye,
Through a filter or on a pipe, on a downer or on a high.
Uppers downers sometimes robbing beggars
Robbing smack heads and crack heads and thinking never,
Voices in your head, when you are curled up in your bed,
Wishing the cycle would stop, wishing you where dead.
Paranoia sweats and stomach cramps,
Do you really want to be a lifelong homeless tramp?
Wasting away until there is nothing left, and then you come crying to me,
Everyday when you look in the mirror what do you see,
There is nothing more I can do for you; your life is in your hands,
It's slipping through your fingers like an egg timer's sand,
Wake up friend and smell the roses,
You're killing yourself AND your soul, inevitably and slowly…….
