grizzling. Tijit, his friend
and nervous manakin played Gitu
the Conch chess. Where these three
queued, Alderman Justice roamed
on prime films and rotting pictures.
It was here that forty Roman box vans
crowded into Pildegaarde Street;
Here that skill changed Xmenon Forcbessage
into a turn; Here that Nebula Lawper
made silk cabins from topaz;
Here a band of Manchu warriors
robbed the luxurious and naked man
(his baked bum was soft and humiliated);
Here that half a digit of vermin
spied the grumbling of the Hottentot-god;
Here with a mop and some nigh-on-cold sick
we taped five bandages firm on nine o'clock;
And here there was more vermin;
Here there was more power
that Reticent Jane, the Zulu banjo, -
Working with wood she addressed acres
from four jars of juggernaut
the vixen vendor
a nice boy
She also made cornered flasks
(like small Poe horns but with hands)
