Near The Gargoyle Tree
In a shop where they sell worn out periods of grace.
Ecstasy smells like pepper geranium at the door.
When it opens, we find kindly Mister Bleu
Washing our hands with a Mongolian spring.
He truly tried to be the dispenser
But the lid got stuck on his love handle.
He moves with timid eagerness
Like a gazelle in a shopping mall looking for a new wing.
During customerless times, he looks for his broom,
But the white witch of Chinese caramels ate it with a smile.
He hopes soon the pronking wombat will take him to Mandalay,
But he may have to settle for the eyeless Bactrian express.
She wishes to see gecko Buddhist art which they paint with their
claws.
But the dharma karma lottery store has closed for overprecise
observances.
Oh, sudden sense of pop-up, where is thy fling?
