Full Moon
Irresistible mirror
beyond which nothing
can be found discounting
how the vast mad multiples
of nightmare gather to a perfect
pitiless radiance that shattering
revokes the endless spectral
recitations on which heart &
hope are staked How coy
we are sub rosa in the
public matter burden of
the proof factitious fact
because no man was
there we went the flag
our cargo simulating
clement wind full blown
or was it sorrow’s own the
fragile homeless cultivar so
cryptically anomalous the place
untenanted abandoned broken
promise of return To hear my
father chronicle by phone the
progress of his blindness black
hole swelling in the center of his
eyes swallowing that world his
sight a ring of light without a
thing but vanishing
