B. How I made squares from the circles of dreams in the shape of an airshaft of a tenement building
I sprouted in a greenhouse
of reinforced cement.
A cow's voice
grazes my insides.
I settled in
to this vegetable state.
I didn't speak.
I didn't challenge anyone.
It's just that I've always thrived
in places where the dictionaries
denied my existence.
