Reading Matter
As usual
this day is pushed into my room
from tinder the door.
I put on my spectacles
and begin to
read it.
Nothing of any importance,
as far as I can see.
Towards noon, a slight depression
with no reasons given,
and, it says,
I shall take up
my trend towards light
at the point where I broke off yesterday.
The foreign branch
gives information about my transactions
with water, with mountains and with the air,
about their absurd demand
to enter my bloodstream and
my brain.
Then the usual reports
about working condition,
the way to the bread bin,
the cheerful mood
(but not a word
about conditions
in the liver region).
Where on earth do they print
this stuff,
my life,
when it’s full of
inadmissible
errors.
