Earth me with stories, spin me down
with whipping words: these scars are yours
marked on my mind map, etching shores
held once as my asylum ground.
Take me with you …
scorch me with promises, their fire
burns thoughts and here’s my future ash,
urned in your rainbow-crock: who’ll smash
the dream-pot of lied-to and liar?
Take me with you …
fly me with air-love, I’ll grow wings
smooth and entire, no ailerons:
controls are displaced, our blue-plans
lift us to sky-borne blackberrying.
Take me with you …
Wash me in life drops, clean as ice.
How will scars, burns and cloud-stains last
through years refined by isinglass,
where rivers pass but never twice?
