Ioulíta Iliopoúlou was born in Athens. She studied Byzantine and Modern Greek Literature at the University of Athens and Drama at the Athens Conservatory. She has published three books of poetry: Years of Happiness Marcos (1987); Digamma (1992) and Wish for Odysseus (1997). She has also published a translation of Shelley's 'Defence of Poetry' (1996).
