five breathing red and orange high branches
decide that they should never have been born
since they attract bad luck and evening spores
in a cloudless trance they lean towards Brittany
combined they throw up some kind of crown
against the doom of autumn and free radicals
the spaces in-between their different loves
ask them to account for all the dropped leaves
