Fear Isn't The Only Enemy I'll Ever Know
We confess to not being born when Kennedy was shot
We confess to getting free school milk
We confess to being perfect
Perfect housewives, Perfect mothers, Perfect career girls
We confess to be TARTS, WHORES, SLAGS, CUNTS
We confess to wanting sex even when you don’t
And not wanting it when you do
We confess to NEVER NEVER NEVER wanting children anyway
We are guilty of being inane, inanimate, inapplicable,
inappropraite, inapt, inarticulate, inattentive, inaudible,
inauspicious, inbred, incapable, incautious, incessant,
incoherent, incompatible, incompetent, incomplete, incongruous,
inconsequential, inconsistent, incorrigible, incorruptible,
indolent, innocent, ignorant....
We confess to being born at the WRONG TIME in the WRONG PLACE
We are out
We confess to knowing we were gay at 7
We are out of place
We are guilty of being junkies, squatters, whores
We are out of time
We regret posing as hippies two decades too late
Our faces don’t fit
We are penitent perverts
Thatchers puritans
Peddling puerile truth serums to
Sanctimonious morality police
We are guilty of dreaming
Demanding secure jobs, our own homes, tax cuts
We were cheeky monkeys who wanted the moon on a stick
We closed our fists against everything
And found we had nothing
We cried for what was not ours
And blamed others for whar they couldn’t give us
We pissed against the wind
And blamed the government when we got wet
We jacked up
And blamed our friends when they O.D.’d
We fucked up
And blamed our parents when they told us so
We hated because we were loved
We sold out when the stock market crashed
And bought shares in British Rail
We don’t regret creating
A new underclass, queers, junkies, victims, crusties
And then selling them out
Forgive us mother for we know not what we do
We can never win
We are right when we are wrong, wrong when we are right,
wrong when we are wrong
Catch us soon
We are todays capitalists
Tomorrows FASCISTS
We are…………coming for YOU!!!!
