Our House
Our house
is of them:
ideas
like pure crystal
born into a world
of substance
and of color,
qualities illuminated,
attributes known.
But the square
of the building,
the angle
of the stair,
the plane
of the room,
like the picture
frame by the window
are slightly askew,
ephemeral shapes,
flawed coordinates,
mortal numbers,
Cartesian Man
a cosmic abortion,
an animal darkly
suffering in a
coldly warping cave.
