Jenny Mastoráki was born in Athens where she still lives. She studied Byzantine History and Literature at the University of Athens and has published five collections of poetry to date: The Legend of St. Youth (1971); Tolls (1972); Kin (1978); Tales of the Deep (1983) and With a Crown of Light (1989). She has translated extensively from American, Italian, German and South American Literature and criticism.
