Night-time street brawl; Puerto
A large purple sky
& a hot breeze blowing in
from Africa.
Sipping lager on the veranda
dreaming of cunts
& the inside of sea shells.
A sudden dull electric rumble
rises above the booming basslines
which drift up from the clubs.
I am enthralled;
is it a riot,
or an armed uprising?
The flashing blue lights
of a police van
revolving in the shop fronts.
A mad smash of bottles
& lads in Man.City shirts
storming down a neon street
then retreating like the tide.
I need a pistol
or a sawn-off shotgun
to fire into the heavy air.
I am the Sundance kid.
