24 hour feeding stations
constantly consuming
the daily drudge of life
perched on high
they crane forward
stilt legged snapping
at the passing hordes
of multi coloured ants
that crawl along
the ribbon of life
a ceaseless stream
of lights throb
one way white
the other red
nose to tail at speed
the looped neck of cable
always full of sky
you never see the bulge
of the constantly taken
meal slipping down
