Rue De Rivoli, Paris, France
from time to time loud
rock’n’roll from passing
cars fills the night
with a myth of a far off land
where you’re always seventeen
and tomorrow never comes
but you turn away from
the road and the yellow and
red glaring lights of Macdonalds
remind you that frontiers change
calling forth uglier legends
where the good guy never gets the girl
