Introduction
HELLO AGAIN
You may well know Purple Patch, it has now been around for 25
years, and this is its 100th issue.
If you don’t, see below for steps to ensure you don’t miss even
one more year.
This could have been a posh, glossy, perfectly-bound volume, but
it was pointed out to me that readers would expect the same with
issues 101 etc.
It is the 100th. issue, however, and so the collating, layout, and
printing has been entrusted to Martin Holroyd, a critic of my
untidy presentation, and a master of organisation and order.
There is to be a limited edition supplement, recalling something of
the 100 issues of Purple Patch, which will go to all subscribers
and first comers. That will be produced by me.
It is impossible to thank everyone who has helped over the years,
individually, but without Olive Hyett who co-edited the first
issues and printed them as well, and the late Jim William Jones,
who designed, produced, and donated the covers for early issues,
we may never have got off the ground.
