Following the success of last year’s event, SOUTH has been invited
back to the beautifully restored Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and
Museum, overlooking the sea on Bournemouth’s East Cliff, to
celebrate National Poetry Day – and the launch of SOUTH 30 –
on October 7, 2004, from 7.30pm. The café will be open from
6pm, giving visitors time to purchase something to eat and drink
beforehand.
Paul Hyland, whose Poet Profile appears in this issue, is among the
poets published in SOUTH 30 who will read from their own
work.
Admission – £4/£3 (waged/unwaged) – is free to SOUTH
Foundation Members (who may also bring one guest free of
charge) and to poets taking part in the reading.
SOUTH subscriptions: If yours is due for renewal, there will be
facilities to do so at this event, which forms part of the Cliff Edge
Poetry series at the Russell-Cotes, promoted by Bournemouth
Borough Council.
