Other Worlds
Light in Dark Places
A shadow crossed the sun today
and though I can’t see it, the sun still shines.
Some times it’s hard to say what feelings are still mine.
As life hangs by a single cord,
so shear, so delicate, so fragile.
However, the path I record seemingly gets longer,
longer and longer by the mile.
I have to admit right here and now,
that I have blamed everyone and everything.
Surely beyond this portal view
lies the soul’s ability to sing, to sing!
As that dark cloud cracks and breaks
and from my eyes fall stinging showers
diminishing light into eternal night
leaving me alone with the silence.
When my new dawn salutes and I arise
the warmth of the day unlocks the ice
that has coursed through my veins for far too long.
I then look around in wonderment, and see that
all my tears have now become flowers.
