David Floyd was born in north London in
1980. His debut pamphlet War in the
Playground was published by Hearing Eye
in 2003. He is currently experimenting with
a variety of recipes for flapjacks. David
started writing poetry at the age of 14 in
an attempt to find love but, nearly ten
years on, he still hasn't succeeded and is
contemplating giving up and becoming a
Catholic priest. He has performed poetry in
venues across London, a couple of which
have invited him back. David is a columnist
for The Morning Star newspaper and a
Director of a creative agency called Social
Spider. His favourite band is the emerging
Tottenham-based grunge people, Chimanko.
Jacqueline Gabbitas was born in
Worksop in Nottinghamshire. She is the
administrator of The Poetry School, a
poetry advisor on the WriteWords website
and was a poetry judge on the 2004
Koestler Awards. She has an MA in Writing
from Sheffield Hallam University and has
had poems and articles published in various
magazines. Her work has been translated
into Polish and German. She is one of the
30 poets in The Poetry School anthology,
Entering The Tapestry (Enitharmon, 2003).
She loves otters, and whenever she finds
the time visits the Chestnut Centre, Otter
Sanctuary in Derbyshire.
Louisa Hooper has a degree in English
Literature, an MA in Creative Writing,

UK. She now works in publishing in
London, where she was recently involved in
the production of the poetry anthology

[Fantastic book – everyone should buy a
copy! – Ed]
