It is daytime; the distances here
are obscured by white.
Little pigment would be required
to paint this scene, but for the car.
Silence disturbed by the photographer
composing an artificial landscape.
Hard and soft edges are frozen
onto his plate; he folds the tripod
leaving three small holes, and tracks
which will not be covered by snow.
