The aim of the Group shall be the promotion of poetry and its presentation to the public, especially the work of members of the Group.
Cannon Poets is established as a group of poets who welcome all comers to our meetings, asking only that they share in our love of writing and reading poetry, respect and support each other as poets and pay the appropriate dues. We make no distinction on any grounds. In our public activities we will seek to offer the public as wide a range of poetic inspiration and style as possible.
