1.

Hardly here today and certainly gone tomorrow, devastated
by an avalanche of syllables, glacial vagaries -
inevitably running the radiant gauntlet
astonished by crushed stamens glittering in heaps
jasmine meteors piled in rabid cavities
humbly irreverent with raucous adjectives
I mince round the edges of yet another poem.
The gobbled dying sprawling with blossoms fingers
the walled gardens high in the minds Andes -
Diocletian Cologne eclipsing Macchu Picchu.

The connections, the exacting particulars
illusory archipelagos of the vertebrae
culminating in the pitted phosphorescence of the eye.
These ruined instruments, intricate complexion of terminations
mesmerised before a dislocating wilderness.
Inconsequential concentric capillaries, a caprice
of uncountable sentiments unhappily incontinent
before the vestigial transitory hypotenuse.
After the waiting sulphurs pyramids disgestion
the resurrected maggots return to the scabbard.

Torrential equinoctial eyelids scalding
towering stone petrified amongst embattled emeralds -
manacled turquoise subjugated under blizzards of tiny petals,
cascading scintillations scattered, forgotten.
Words and the way words sound cannot
bring back the dead, and love or the lack of it
is hardly relevant before the congregation of time.
Squalls of ice under a scarred moon leaves
the neurosis of a poem cowering under a dome of silence
the pitiful teeth chattering, frantic grinning behind glass.
