From: The Greek Anthology
And thinking back — how we would talk the sun
To bed — I said that you were dust — and cried.
But nightingales who sing are male, and one
By one, each poem from your ashes cries —
Despite the death that comes for all.
I sit alone to watch that same sun rise.
Those nightingales? Their night will never fall.
