Percy's Story
I was full of revolutionary fervour
when I was young, and in 1927
I decided to make a trip to Russia
to see how things were working out,
but I soon came back, disillusioned.
There were women wearing lipstick
and smoking in the streets.
Everyone said I was silly to say that,
but who’s to say I wasn’t right
when now you can see young girls
walking around dressed in a way
that would make the Marquis de Sade
think he’d entered Paradise?
