along the dual carriage way.

rocked fore and aft into alliteration

We arrive amazed to find she has started
without us
after all this time why now be in such a
hurry?
We take up her plastic bag and walk
beside us a shy and unrequited animal
Virginia the timber wolf Queen
of denial discovering the
secret life of blowsy goitred puffballs
The slippers she went through
electric mules
festooned in false crimson feathers
amorous clamorous abandoned baby birds
