The winner from issue 15/1, John McDonald, makes his selection from 15/2 as follows:
As usual, an issue full of interesting things; starting with Kate Hall’s delightfully colourful origami cover which brightened the day as it was pulled from the envelope. I was seduced, colour popped up everywhere: in Jo Pacsoo’s evocative (for this highland boy):
                                                        orange sun rises
                                                        over fresh snow
                                                   the postman’s red van
Diana Webb’s mysterious:
                                                        deep in the river
                                                        an orange sun
                                                        lodged in dark branches
Phillip Murrell’s:   
                                                        spring sunshine
                                                        lighting up the peel in the
                                                        marmalade jar
with its implications of the galactic in the particular that reverberated through me for some time - still does.

However it fell to Martin Lucas to carry home the trophy with his delightful

                                                        a rusting ladder
                                                        down to the river
                                                        autumn clouds

the clouds, the river and the (orange-spotted) time-worn artefact that connects them -connecting heaven and earth - and the artificer no-where to be found. Sadness. . . loneliness. . .mystery. . the meditation continues.
