Agriculture
Yes, they still grow corn
Yearly, force-fed with chemicals
You understand, coming a muted
Yellow from the golden ages.
At harvest a huge machine called
A 'combine' has chivvied labour
Away leaving blank empty fields,
Argued over by ramblers as to rights.
Tourists though (that term now
Terming the race) never see such yield in
Their itineraries. Corn does not
Titillate, its silent waves broken.
Rather, crop itself is now human,
Reared in numbers so great no
Rural area can sustain them.
Reaped by the usual scythe.
