Toshie was electrochemical green
neurological green
nerve end green
when the brain pan cracked
and dizzy cells were spun
in all directions
they built their bridges
back to green
and beyond green
there was pine
rosemary and fig leaves
for me it’s words
and the habitual DNA
of blank or flat
spark or dazzle or dream
and beyond the ganglia
of least resistance
there’s a thesaurus
and a world
of other peoples languages
and the journey is in French
and aquamarine
and the journey is all Greek
and vermilion
and the solution is to connect
the green nerve
to the burnt umber nerve
to connect the sparking nerve
to the ear
the eye
the tongue
and the rainbow flesh
