cyanosis and solferino
zaffre and incarnadine
the machine that escapes:
I can’t stand
the soft centres
the machine that escapes
one time
one early morning bull
in the burning panoply

this anniversary
a refugee and suspect
dream is apparent
in my eyes
in my arms
tightly
one glass incendiary
bomb

these observations
that each of you
take as a gift
sweets
from a stranger
construct a corpse
battered by snow
and sheltering
a fire-storm

each canal of charred
stagnant flesh
disinherited flesh
supple bark of their hearts
the forest burns
turning to the red
and xanthocity
the illuminators
