David Boll lives and writes in London. Olivia Cole won an Eric Gregory Award in 2003 and was the winner of the 2003 Writers Inc (Blue Nose) competition. Mick Delap’s first collection, River Turning Tidal, was published by Lagan Press, Belfast, in 2003. Sally Festing's pamphlet, Swimming Lessons (Hawthorn Press, 2002), is the basis of a second play on Radio 4. She has published journalism, five non-fiction books, plays and, since 1999, many poems. Wendy French's pamphlet collection, Sky Over Bedlam, was published in 2002. She appears in the Poetry School anthology, Entering the Tapestry. Andrew Neilson was born and educated in Edinburgh and now lives in London. ClarePollard's second collection, Bedtime, was published by Bloodaxe in 2002. She had a play, The Weather, performed at the Royal Court Theatre, London, in October 2004. Laurie Smith works part-time at King's College London and chairs a poetry writing class at the City Lit. John Stammers' first collection, Panoramic Lounge-Bar (Picador 2001) won the Forward Prize for Best First Collection. His recent pamphlet, Buffalo Bills, is reviewed on page 69 of this issue.
