Spring Break-out
The blossom is out in London.
The fogs have lifted
and the last of the winter rain
has washed the birds clean.
The river’s metal
is shot with silver,
black dolphins leap.
The air rides high
and sounds are clear.
Feet are light, life
could be a lot worse.
I could walk anywhere.
