Immortal God’s almighty eyes
Enclose and light the starry skies.
By day the luminary sun
Instructs us in our union.
Take my hand and lead me to
The country of my love for you.
Walk me down the sacred aisle
Resurrection in your smile.
Let love interpret what the mind
In all its rancour cannot find.
Tie the living spirit with
The supersilky thongs of love.
Consecrated by the word
Display it in the house of God.
When I lift my eyelids, blink
All the world in what you think.
Reciprocal ecstatic law
We practice to be two no more.
Let music sound the mighty chord
Praise the human soul adored.
Enrol the sanctity of these
Standing in the ancient pews.
I see a village, where the sun
Dandles on thatch the holy one
Of Ramsbury. He is the word
As fortunate as those who’ve heard
Him calling from the rooftops, where
The trees articulate the air.
‘O eros of the promised land
Take O take me by the hand.’
