The Fifth Sense
The jerk is sightless. That’s his foremost
attribute. He never recognizes anything and his
whole universe is full of fuzz. He feels he needn’t
apologize, however. Sensory disfunction exists all
around him. See, it’s my hearing that’s bad, though
I manage nonetheless to keep in touch. I look around
and invent great musics and everyone else’s conver-
sations. . . all in good taste, I might add. It’s just
a mechanical response for me. Think nothing of it.
My real fascination is for cheap cologne. I’ve got
a good nose for reality.
