Honiton - it was so cold
In need of woolly jumper,
Station Inn - picture bold
Of famous Tivvy Bumper.
It clanked along a single track.
To Tiverton from its junction
Tiny halts - just a shack
Served a useful function.
But Beeching came and so it went
Along with many others
Seaton, Sidmouth - alas all spent
Lyme Regis - several brothers.
For forty years these lines have slept
Formation full of weed
With hindsight may have kept
Turbos new growth feed.
Closures are not revoked
Re-openings never simple
They must remain bramblechoked
Near Feniton and Whimple.
