Catch, if you dare, mid-air the Hitchcock dove
That enters through the eyes and drains the heart.

Lightly, seize your muse and say ‘Your move’
Since movement is the long and short of what

It’s words you need, the lively kind that start
Falling in love and not falling in love,
Weaving a coat to button tight above
Your trembling tan. This could be passion, but

Passion. Better than bliss in some green grove
With Miss or Mister Wrong, is this: to part,
Falling in love but only in that love
