Sums and calculations
The sum total of a life’s work
Somewhere someone was dreaming
But no one realised
It was a dreaming day
And no one dreamed
A passage of thoughts
Disappear in the distance
And his field is full of black crows
It’s fourteen hundred hours now
He looks out of the window
The view has never changed
And neither will he
No one talks to him now
He hasn't spoken for years
Sometimes he remembers the autumn
Caravan holidays
Ice creams and coast lines
And on other days
He doesn't
