Paddy, Hitch and Frank
Summer
Paddy is padded out
It’s still the last days of spring and a bit chilly
Now is the time to get your hair cut
In preparation of cleanliness and
in preparation of the sun beating on your head
But still you may need to wear a hat
Not the woolly hat of today but a summer hat for tomorrow
Thinking of the clothes you won’t wear
They will be put at the back of the wardrobe
The winter clothes are to be withdrawn to allow the air to reach my body
Opening the window in my room
The rush of fresh air circulates and touches my hair.
