The Algoze
The algoze have just stopped playing.
The seed of wordless sound, dropped softly
into silence, wriggles for life.
Time, held still, is freed again.
Borne by a thousand wings
It has spread word all around –
The algoze have just stopped playing. All is one –
the instrument
the sound
and the play[ing]
It converses with itself
It is the response itself
It held its own breath
and listened to the throbbing heart
Now about to heave a sigh –
The algoze have just stopped playing.Everything discovered its essence –
The root found its root.
What was not became.
What was was reduced to nought.
After combing out the skies
The yogi bird nestles in its nest,
its wings gone limp.
The algoze have just stopped playing.[AM, JW and the poet]
