Blue Thursday
Alone, I am calling for you on the quay,
Alone, I am calling for you on the quay,
Filled with this neverness that the moon suggests,
Filled with this neverness that the moon suggests,
The quay suggests that I am alone on the moon with you,
This calling for neverness filled.
My hands are immersed to the wrist in water,
My hands are immersed to the wrist in water,
Remembering your veins beneath translucent skin,
Remembering your veins beneath translucent skin,
In remembering your skin beneath translucent water,
My immersed hands are veins to the wrist.
Cool waters in the dying light of a Thursday evening,
Cool waters in the dying light of a Thursday evening,
My seagull soars, bright white like hope against a deep blue sky,
My seagull soars, bright white like hope against a deep blue sky,
Evening soars, light like a white seagull against
A bright hope, dying blue in the sky of my deep Thursday waters.
For a deep calling beneath the bright white moon,
Dying in the cool waters of the evening,
Suggests your veins, the skin of that wrist. Hands.
Quay soars against a translucent sky. Am light with neverness.
I hope, like my seagull, you are alone,
Immersed in remembering on this blue Thursday.
