Look up
mist-blackened twigs
charcoal lines
on tracing-paper sky;
compare
the crane’s wet struts
catching streetlights
on at four p.m.,
notice the jib they’ve slid to just the angle
echoing
the Whitebeams’ slanting crowns.
They know what they are doing.
