Rules for Leaving a Car at a Red Light
Don’t slam the door.
Don’t yell at anyone.
Don’t run.
Don’t even shut your door, just take off your coat, if you were
feeling too hot, or retrieve the item from the boot and get
back in.
Don’t slam your door and yell at your girlfriend and run to the
nearby railway line and lie on the track because you’ve been
arguing with her, you’ll get into the newspapers and won’t
be around to read about it anyway and she’ll feel lousy and
some people will say you were a poor bugger and some will
say you were a selfish, thoughtless fool and some will just
take another slug from their cup of coffee.
