Found Haiku
Five haiku found, word for word, by Ama Bolton in ‘Ben Hartley’ by Bernard Samuels (Sansom & Co). Ama says it’s ‘A gem of a book about a truly original artist...’
| red shards spotted with meal smelling of the pig. |
far & away a trotting horse.....still far away & away a trotting horse |
Tinned holiday food & grown-ups golf.
The bright packet of empty sweets.
| not a blackbird’s but a pram’s squeaking song in the road |
The sea going bluer. The tincan caravans. The empty golf course |
Ed: And two for a foretaste of ‘Surreal Haiku’ perhaps... (Maybe not...) I found one in Memories, Dreams & Reflections - Carl Jung (arch-priest of the other-than-conscious mind) - and the other in Sartre’s short story Childhood of a Leader:-

the great crabs wrapped up in a thick mantle of fog - a wink between friends |
