In autumn and marooning trees
strange turning in the leaves
on stem-threads twisting
like a mobile
like the earth...
sounds of children
rustling birds
dogs and wind
in the fence
shouts cries howls barks
squeals slamming
windows on the street
crashing clouds
clatter of grass
and flickering branch
seconds before
the luminous silence
the thunder
a quiet rain
like running feet...
