We Have No Shoes
A long time ago we talked about
dreams. We sat on the steps until
two in the morning, and talked
about how we would change the
world. But that was when we were
innocent. Today, we still stay
awake until two a.m. but that’s
because we can’t sleep. The world
has shaken the noble aspirations
that once flew like proud flags in
the breeze, and left them burnt - a
testament of its indifference. So
now we've come to the realization
that while our spirit says we should
climb high mountains, what is the
good of it? We have no shoes.
