Haibun : Journey into Night
This sense of jewels spread-eagled on black velvet.
Out of reach patterns.
Enter my beginning, into this place of utter silence.
On this starlit night
a planet rotating floats
now - a journey
A city of tall elegance; structures clouded, the colour of sand.
Existence in space, drifting slowly. You appear in a mask of silence.
Alleyways curve seductively, disappearing and reappearing as I pass.
I am drifting in this phantasmagoria I am unable to control.
World of mind passing
into the shadowy abyss
of this journey
Warm rich black velvet, etched with the intricacy of time and shapes of
precise calculation. Drifting past the alleyways, sentinels of silence are
mounting a huge canvas of naked human beings. Veiled men on horses
fade in an instant into a castle of my dreams.
Good things of day
unfold in pleasant surroundings
spade by the shed.
